In Maastricht you study challenging issues in small groups while living in one of the friendliest and most beautiful student cities in Europe. Otterbein students majoring in psychology are invited to apply to attend Maastricht University in the Netherlands for a semester. This award-winning university is well known throughout Europe and the world for its Problem Based Learning (PBL) curriculum. Classes are taught in English. ELIGIBILITY: Junior or senior status STUDY AT: The educational programs at Maastricht University use Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which focuses on small groups and informal contacts between students and the academic staff. The combination of this teaching method and an international student population means that you have plenty of opportunities to acquire knowledge and experience from a range of perspectives. All this offers you an international environment in which you study, live and build friendships with other students from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. EXCURSIONS: Your free time doesn’t have to be spent only in Maastricht. There are countless opportunities for enjoying yourself outside the city, as Maastricht is situated at an international crossroads. Cities such as Brussels, Liège, Aachen, Cologne and Düsseldorf are just a short drive away and you have easy access to Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris or London. HOUSING AND MEALS: Campus housing is available on a first come first serve basis. Many international students choose to live in the Guesthouse located in the city. Meals are independent and groceries are available in the city center and also by the Guesthouse. SERVICES: There are libraries located throughout the city for the convenience of students.
