Blogs
Students can post stories and pictures about their global
experiences. Friends, parents and significant others can view public posts
and, if they become an authenticated user, write comments about what they see.
The goal of Local2Global is to link college and university students and networks
worldwide. Also be sure to check out our

Forums
Local2Global allows faculty to create and search for collaborative online
short and flexible assignments with international content in conjunction with
educational institutions worldwide. The assignments link the students and
faculty at two or more international educational institutions for shared
readings, writings, video streaming, discussion, reflection and teamwork.
Searchable opportunities are classified as classroom based, service
opportunities, research projects or study abroad programs. The assignments
are collaboratively chosen by the faculty at the different institutions and
are designed to challenge cultural assumptions, promote critical thinking and
collaborative learning. Students are equally represented at participating
institutions. Assignments can include analyzing various national, regional or
international problems which students then attempt to solve. Findings and
recommendations are presented in discussion forums, videos, projects, blogs
and wikis which can be viewed by a wider audience within the Local2Global
structure and serve as a basis for further research and discussion by outside
groups.
Program Evaluations
Otterbein University has partnered with Abroad101 to
allow you to view feedback on programs from extensive evaluations and ratings
written by students from Otterbein and other institutions. Filter your search
to programs that are officially approved by your school. Read about your
fellow students’ experiences and take advantage of their personal advice!
