Funding Administered by Otterbein

The following funding opportunities are open to Otterbein students.

Cultural Envoy Program

Otterbein awards $2000 in Otterbein aid to eligible students toward the cost of participation in a non-exchange study abroad program. “Envoys” must be willing to engage in one or more of the Five Cardinal Experiences in a global context. Students are expected to intern, provide service, conduct research or provide leadership in a global context either locally or globally.  CIEGE, the Center for Community Engagement and the Center for Career Planning work collaboratively in assisting students in finding appropriate placements.

Note: Because students who are participating in exchange programs already receive their full Otterbein aid package, these programs are not eligible for additional Otterbein aid.

Boren Scholarship

Boren Awards include David L. Boren Scholarships for undergraduate students and David L. Boren Fellowships for graduate students.  They provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. students to add an important international and language component to their educations. Boren Awards focus on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad.
